text recognition from photo question

For a soil tracking form, we have field workers taking note of truck licence plates in a text question. Many errors occur while noting it down. Are there any plans to have text recognition from photos so they don't have to write down the license plate number?

We haven't had a plan for text recognition yet, but do have speech recognition as enhancement in our backlog.

I encourage you to contact Esri Support to log an enhancement request for text recognition. Our Support team will assign an official enhancement number for your records. Similar requests from other customers can then be attached to the same enhancement request, which helps us assess demand for the enhancement and prioritize it accordingly.
