Calculation does not work in Inbox-Read Only

Hello,

I have a Form in which I capture the user name, the current date and I make a calculation of the next 5 days. I then place this value as a constraint in a different field.

In Connect, it works fine.

In Mobile/Desktop, if I access the survey as Collect, fields work fine. As soon as I try to use it as Inbox (which is what I want as there is a part that precedes this form) and place the above values in read-only mode, nothing is calculated.

If they are not in read-only mode, it works as intended only if I press this

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I obviously want them in read-only mode so the user does not change them.

Hi George,

What version of Connect and the field app are you using? Are you able to share your XLSForm so I can try to troubleshoot your issue? Questions that are readonly won't trigger any calculations, and as you mention the recalculate button needs to be clicked in order to manually trigger a re-calc if any values change.

I'm wondering if the new Inbox option to specify 'view only' is going to be of benefit here... It will be included in the upcoming 3.10 release, but you can try it out now through the Early Adopter community.
