Why does "Please input 255 characters at most" appear when changing languages on Survey123?

Question

I keep getting the subtitle "Please input 255 characters at most" when I change the language in a Survey123 survey. I have tried changing the specified text field length in the "bind::esri:fieldLength" but it is not changing the survey.

Can anyone give me clues as to why these appear/how to get rid of them?

1. Correctly displayed English survey upon opening

2. Survey upon changing it to French

3. Survey upon changing it back to English

Was the survey originally created in the web designer or Survey123 Connect? Can you please provide the xlsx file so we can take a closer look.
