Want to use ArcGIS Server Map Services for Shortlist Story Map

The Shortlist story map setup discusses using CSV files for publishing to ArcGIS Online and then consume the published point layers in AGOL map for Shortlist story map. Can one use ArcGIS Server REST services that are shared with AGOL in Shortlist story map?

Today we released an update to the Story Map Shortlist, version 1.4,1, that includes support for feature services, both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS For Server feature services.

Sorry feature services are not supported in the Shortlist for the point layers that define the tabs. We need to add support for that and it is a frequent request. You can add feature services (and map services) into the web map used by the Shortlist, but the features won't be clickable and can't be used to define the tabs. Sorry about that limitation. Also I don't have an estimate about when that will be added.

Hi Rupert Essinger,

I am trying to use a feature/map service to create a Shortlist story map. Above you say that this support was added, however, I have tried many times to create a shortlist that will recognize my service. Do you have any advice? Do I need to enable the service in some way for it to be recognized by the shortlist application? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
