Include survey answers with address point question in web designer

Is there anyway to includes answers from the survey in the points that would be generated from an address point question besides what the address point question pulls, which would be the address and XY location of the point for this one? I'd like to try to get some of the identifying information from each survey input into the point instead of doing it all on the backend in ArcGIS Pro.

So I'm actually more comfortable with Connect too, but I kept having to go back with forth with how I was designing this survey while trying to meet all the factors for ADA compliance. I think I went through about 5 or 6 renditions when I finally decided this one would probably just be the simplest way to address the ADA compliance issue. I was using web designer because I originally had a map component along with other components for attachments to be added and was having to go back and forth with my IT department to get schema updates to my feature classes every time I decided to pivot and try something to make the survey easier and cleaner. I ended up with web designer so I didn't have to create a feature service to start from each time I tried a new design. It was easier to know that everything was being handled by the software and I wouldn't have to make sure any schema or related tables were setup correctly. Now that I have a better idea of how I'd like this to work I might try to go to Connect again, which I'm hoping will solve a bunch of problems for me. I find it much more flexible and easier to work with.

The repeat is there purposefully and plays a functional role in this survey. The survey collects data from mainly developers to start off our process for evaluating water usage and wastewater collection from new developments. The repeat comes in because a single development could consist of more than one address/parcel.

Ok, that helps a lot. That location off of Africa is 0,0 Lat/Long. In my experience, you get this behavior when your data is going to a feature layer without a geometry question (or one that is optional/hidden and not being filled out). Your repeat is a separate feature layer with its own geometry question that is getting filled out by the address locator which is why the repeat data gets the correct location associated with it.

If you were using Survey123 Connect to design the form (and create the feature service), if there was no geometry question in the main section of the form it would set the schema for it as table instead of a feature layer. It wouldn't have any geometry assigned to the main section, and your repeat with the geometry question would be a feature layer related to that table.

I'm not a big user of the Web Designer, so I can't say how it handles feature layer/table schema when designing a survey from scratch.

There are a couple ways to approach this.

If this is a display on a web map issue you could make your repeat the layer that displays in the webmap and include related records in the popup that shows the data from the parent layer (the main section of your survey). Make the symbology invisible for the parent layer so people aren't confused by the points off Africa and they probably won't ever accidentally interact with them since that is pretty far from NC.

Look at your parent feature layer in Pro. If it has geometry question/field you could use Power Automate or some other webhook software to take the geometry data from the first repeat for that record and set it as the parent record's geometry when a survey is submitted. That would save you the effort of having to go manually update the feature service for the life of it actively collecting data.

You also may need to consider redesigning your survey from scratch, assuming you let Survey123 create your feature service and aren't using an existing service. Your feature service schema is locked in without making major changes. I know you could republish in Connect and change the table/layer schemas, but it will make the existing feature service incompatible with the updated survey and you'll end up with orphaned data that you'd need to deal with. One thing to ask yourself is: Do I need more than one address per survey record? Repeats are for asking questions that may need filled out more than once. If not, and you're trying to consider using a Group instead of Repeat. By putting it in a group your address question and it's geometry would be part of the main layer and not a separate table.

What is the purpose of the repeat, from your description it sounds like you are only collecting 1 entry in the repeat? In your repeat how is the "survey point" question setup? it appears to be being placed at 0,0. Maybe the easiest is to get that to drop at the correct location?

If you are only collecting 1 repeat, you could calculate all the answers in the main form from answers in the repeat. but if this is the case I would maybe rethink the form setup to avoid using a repeat at all and then all your info would show with the address point.

Sorry @TylerGraham2 and @Neal_t_k for any confusion. I should have used a better description of the problem. Let me clarify what I'm dealing with. I've attached a screen grab for a better explanation. This one below shows my survey points vs the address points. All the information being gather from the survey is being stored in these points labeled 1 and they are randomly put in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Africa. The address points being gathered from the question in my repeat are being placed in the correct geospatial location in North Carolina, but are not attached to the rest of the survey data. This is ideally what I'd like to fix in the survey and the original question I was trying to describe. I'd like all the information to be attached to the geospatially located points and not the random ones.

I did use the "Save As" function from a previous survey I created similar to this and I'm thinking the two geopoint feature classes might have something to do with that. I didn't want to have to recreate the whole survey from scratch before, so I'm testing if that's the issue now. **UPDATE** I just tested it and this seems to be the normal function with the way my survey is designed. I kind of need to do it in a similar way to this though because this is the simplest ADA friendly version design I have come up with.

I understand what you all have both described about extracting information from the address geopoints, but unfortunately it looks like I can only extract the fields that are built into and exposed in our address locator that I'm using.

The question is a bit hard to understand. In the web designer you can set the address question to capture Address Text and point geometry or Address text only.

My interpretation of the question is that you want to enter the address and then have it drop the address point on a map but then allow the user to move the point if needed. If this is the case set your address question to "Address Text Only."

Then add a Map question with point geometry to the form. Scroll down to calculation and for the mode set it to "when empty" which will only do the calculation when there is no point set. In the calculation query select your address question and for the property select Matched Location.

This creates point geometry that defaults to the entered address location, but the point can be moved by the user as needed.

I think this is what you are asking for, add a second question and calculate from the address question, you should see options for the properties it can pull:

You can then hide the question if it doesn't need to be on the form.
