I built an FieldMaps application using an existing feature service that contained attachments (photos and documents). Recently, we needed to give office staff access to the same feature service for editing existing records and creating new records. I designed a Survey123 application using the feature service so that they can access the existing records using Inbox.
However, I am running into several issues:
- Opening existing records on Survey123 does not show the attachments (I believe this is a known issue).
- When editing existing records in Survey123, the option to add new attachments to the record disappears (it is present when adding new records).
- Various fields that have values are not populating when opening the record in Survey123 (even though I set the bind::esri:parameters field to query allowUpdates=true)
I am starting to wonder if this workflow is going to work given the issues I am experiencing. Would the information/attachments added on Survey123 be visible on FieldMaps and vice versa? What other issues that I am not aware of could crop up in the future?
I would appreciate if anyone who had done something similar could share their experience. I need to consider if we should go down this path.
