Excel export Tab names change based on if you export all records or select records

When I download my data from a survey in excel format, I get a workbook with each repeat's name on a separate tab. This is normal and excepted.
The tab name has a suffix of a number corresponding to its number as a tab. eg. Phab, Transect_1, Intertransect_2, Sample_3, Collection_4. If I download only select records, the resulting workbook lacks these suffixes. This is a new behavior. I have scripts written to accept the format with suffix.
