Merging two survey records with repeats into one

Question

I have a survey with one repeat, and in each repeat there is an attached image.

The users were supposed to submit 1 survey per block with repeats. This generated a report per block with summary calculations based on repeat answers. However some users ended up doing half a block and submitting and then the other half on a different survey.

I want to merge these two records together, or add the repeats from the one survey on to the other. Is there an easy way to do this?

Update: I found a solution.

I found the parent ID of the survey I wanted to add the repeats to and edited the parentID of the repeats I wanted to match. Seems to have worked seamlessly other than I have to update the calculations performed off the group of repeats
