Scaling Maps on Word output documents

Question

I am hoping someone can help! I want to rescale a map on the word output, because at the moment it looks like this (which isn't very helpful!):

I have used this code:

which I got from here (in content on the arcgis webpage):

This is the error I am receiving when I try to upload the template:

And now I am really stuck, can anyone help me?

Not an expert, but mine works with quotes around the id.

mapSettings:“5ee691.....”:1000

Maybe that will help?
