Audio Alert for Dashboard Indicator Status Change

Question

I have a need to add an audio alert to a conditionally formatted indicator icon when it changes but so far I don't see any possible way to do this via the dashboard tools. Is anyone aware of a way to add sounds to help in status change notification?

I did put in an enhancement request here but as of now, it hasn't really gotten much traction.
