How do I add attachments to my feature service?

I've been looking around but I can't seem to find any examples or documentation on how to add attachments to a feature service that is hosted on either ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Server.  I've enabled attachments on the feature service, but I'm not sure how I actually add the file attachments for a given record in my feature service.  Does anybody know where I may find any relevant documentation or instruction on how to do this?

Is there a way to do this for a number of features?

There tool "Add attachments" work great for local features but I can't get it to work with a feature service.

Hi Matthew,

If you add the feature service to a Web Map, you can edit a feature and you will have an option to browse for an attachment:
