Labels with long and straight leaders

Hi,

I am trying to label my point features with long and straight leaders. I am using ArcGIS 10.1 and using Maplex and I have tried various combinations of options available for leader but I could not succeed. Would any one help me how to get the leaders like shown in attached screenshot.

I had a similar issue.  What I ended up having do to is create a new features that I called Label Leader and LablePoint

I put them in a geometric network so they would stay connected.

I then labeled off the point and drew the leader in the way i wanted it.
