Lat/long search not working in arcgis power bi visual

Question

Searching by latitude/longitude in the in-map Search tool stopped working. Typing coordinates into the search box returns no results. The map itself renders fine and our points plot correctly from the Latitude/Longitude field wells — it's specifically the lat/long search that's broken.

We're using the visual as guest users (not signed into an ArcGIS account).

Environment: Power BI Desktop + Service, ArcGIS for Power BI 2026.2.991, guest users.

Thanks — answers below, in order.

1. Format

Please see the attached screenshot. We enter the coordinates in decimal degrees, latitude first, comma-separated:

33.92253, -84.472699

On pressing Enter, the search box returns: “No results — There were no results found for '33.92253, -84.472699'.” No type-ahead suggestions appear while typing either.

2. Address search

Address search works normally — please see the attached screenshot. Typing “New York” immediately returns the expected suggestion list (New York, NY, USA (New York County); New York, USA; etc.). So search itself is not broken for guest users — only coordinate lookup fails.

3. Account check

We are unable to test this. The visual is consumed inside Power BI, and our users are not signing in to a separate ArcGIS account, so there is no signed-in state for us to compare against.

4. Console errors

Both screenshots were captured in Power BI Service. We have not yet pulled the F12 console / network trace. If that would help, please tell us exactly what to capture — console errors only, or the full network log filtered to the geocode / locator calls — and we will send it across.

Address search succeeds and coordinate search fails in the same search box, in the same session.

* Address Search: If you type a standard address (e.g., "New York, NY") instead of coordinates, does the search tool work, or is it completely broken for guest users?
* Account Check: If someone logs into an ArcGIS account on that same visual, does the lat/long search begin working again?
* Console Errors: If you are testing in Power BI Service, are you seeing any red error lines or failed network requests in the browser's Developer Tools (F12) console when you hit Enter on a search?
