Attachment Upload Latency - ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3

Question

We notice a minimum loading time of about 5 seconds for attachments, whereas this delay was almost instantaneous on version 10.9.1. In order to isolate the problem, we performed tests with an identical dataset on both versions, which confirms a performance degradation on version 11.3.

Are you aware of this behavior? Is there a patch or configuration recommendations to reduce this loading time?

We're facing the same issue in version 11.3.
The content download itself is pretty fast (<= 1ms). Waiting for Server response is ~5s for the /attachments Endpoint. No Problems with the queryAttachments Endpoint.

Hey Yanis,

Not seen anything like this, Where are we observing this? Is it when we access attachments via a pop up in the map viewer, or in an app like Field Maps/ Experience Builder, or even when pulling services in ArcGIS Pro?

There are many moving cogs that could explain why we see things slower after an upgrade. If possible it would be good to look at the web traffic requests that are being sent when trying to retrieve attachments.

For your service, do we see any higher response times if we check the Server Manager Statistics page and filter by the service?

Hopefully those are some potential avenues to look at, happy to discuss further.
