Configuring Notebook Webhook Receiver in a disconnected environment

Good morning,

I am trying to configure a webhook receiver to trigger a notebook to run anytime records are submitted to a survey. I am able to set everything up, the receiver and the webhook. When I add a record to the survey, the Notebook Server logs say that the signature header is not valid. I've read through the documentation but have yet to find where it states what to do with the 'x-esrihook-signature' header past entering it into the required field when creating the receiver. Is there somewhere else that this needs to be implemented? i.e. IIS on the web adaptor?

Hi @BrandonCranfield,

WebSocket Connection error normally means a network or protocol issue.
Can you please check the logs to see if there is any error before 'exited'?

If you are okay, please share the logs.

@VenkataKondepati, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this out and did not have any luck. I switched the logs for Notebook Server to 'debug' and watched the entire process happen. The job is created, the container is spun up, the payload is recognized, but then the container is terminated and it says it completed with a status of 'exited'.

Also, not sure if this is relevant, but seeing the following error come up quite a bit:

Error in establishing WebSocket connection with container. The HTTP request to initiate the WebSocket connection to [wss://127.0.0.1:30002/notebook/notebooks/{notebookID}/api/kernels/{another ID of some sort}/channels?session_id={ID}] failed.

Hi @BrandonCranfield.

As far as I understand, you don't need to do anything with IIS or the Web Adapter. The signature error might be due to a "Secret" key mismatch between Survey 123 webhook settings and Notebook Receiver setup.

Please check and confirm if they match.

For a quick test, you can remove the "Secret" at both places and see if it works to make sure that there are no proxy blocks.
