Hello! I started a map midway in my Excel spreadsheet. I figured out how to add the rows of data below it but I cannot figure out how to add rows above it. Any thoughts?

Can you please clarify if you are trying to add the rows in the Excel worksheet? I'd assume you mapped the data you have in the spreadsheet. I would recommend reviewing Microsoft support for inserting or deleting rows and columns, see the link here for further information.
If you are referring to the new feature, Add features to ArcGIS layer, this went live today! You may add a new row in the last row of the table, please see our Change log for further details.
