Error Uploading Excel Sheet to ArcGIS Portal

Hi everyone,

I am trying to upload an Excel sheet to ArcGIS Portal, and create a point layer from it. Each time I try, I get the folllowing: "Something unexpected caused the tool to fail. Contact Esri Technical Support (http://esriurl.com/support) to Report a Bug, and refer to the error help for potential solutions or workarounds. Invalid url: blocked host. Failed to execute (Publish Portal Service). Failed."

It worked fine when I used ArcGIS Online, separate from Portal.

My organization recently updated to Enterprise 11.3, if that helps.

Has this happened to anyone else?

This has been happening for me too. My department recently updated to Enterprise 11.3 as well.

may want to double check field names. Those seem to cause me the most trouble.

1. no special characters

2. no spaces

3. no reserved words

make it as simple as possible.
