What Role Type do I need to Change Style of a Feature Layer?

Hello, I'm trying to adjust the transparency of the polygons in my Feature Server's feature layer. Logged in the enterprise portal as an admin, I was able to change the style of polygons in the map, but when I logged in to the portal layer later, the changes had disappeared. If this is a permissions issue, what role should I be using to save my style changes?

If you have an admin level then you can do ‘everything’. Having a different role won’t help you.

where did you make the change? Have you tried recreating it since?

Here's the change I tried to make to the layer. I clicked ok buttons, but the changes are not saved across sessions.

Have you pressed Save Map to save it? Pressing OK isn't enough.
