You can also try doing Zonal Statistics as Table, then Join the results back to your fishnet feature class. Good luck!

Thank you Taren. I initially did run zonal statistics, but it gave me a skewed image without an attribute table. I will read more up on how it works. Thank you again.

Hi @SarahRadel

Do you mean you are trying to sample values from your NLCD dataset to each grid in your fishnet? If so, you want to use the Zonal Statistics tool. You can read a bit more about how the tool works here.
