Server Admin Page - Error 500 when logging in via Web Adaptor

Question

I'm receiving the following Error 500 message when trying to login to the Server Admin directory via the Web Adaptor:

Details:

* Server Version = 10.9.1
* I can successfully login (using Site Admin account) when accessing the server site directly using the FQDN and default port  (xyz.xyz.xyz:6443)
* Allow direct administrator access is set to True
* I can successfully connect to the server via the Web Adaptor; view services and connect to the Admin Services directory page.  However when I try to login using the Site Admin account, I receive the error.

Has anyone else gone through this and been able to resolve?  Many thanks.

Hello, is this a federated Server? If so, I'd be curious to see if you can sign in via the Portal token method. Also, do you see any Server logs associated with the failed login?
