S3 bucket filling with 13 byte files

Enterprise 10.8.1 HA - AWS S3

I have my Portal contents stored in an S3 bucket and it is working just fine. However I have noticed that the s3 bucket is filling with 13 bytes text files that all say:portal-config. It looks like there are tens of thousands of them.

This cannot be normal? Does anyone know how to search an s3 bucket for 13 byte files and delete them?
