some files located in C:\arcgisportal\temp named tmp-portal-export-....... consumes a lot of disk space, I would like how are they generated , and if they can be safely removed

They are created when you create a backup of Portal. How often are you creating backups of Portal, either using the DR tool or directly in the Portaladmin API? Are they never cleared up, or only sometimes?
