Input Field for Field Value in Model Builder Field Calculation

Question

Good Morning, Im searching for a way of having an input field before starting the model. Its like the paramter for a shape file. Basically the User shall be able to make a field calculation based on the value he sets before starting the model.

You can't enter anything into anything then run a model, you have to run the model, then it will accept inputs.  That entry will be part of the model

I guess you could write the value to a text file, then start the model that opens and reads the text file, and runs.  But please explain why you want/need this?  You don't want to just run the model and get an input parameter?

The user shall insert a value for the field X by using an input line before starting the model.
