Does anyone know if you can configure Portal to send group owners an email when users request to join their group? Users are not in Portal every day and could go weeks without ever getting into Portal to see if someone has requested to join their group.
Has there been any update on this capability - e.g., using webhooks or some other new capability? Thanks.
Me sumo, con la misma necesidad.

Just found it there: https://community.esri.com/ideas/1814
I would recommend someone posting this under the ArcGIS Ideas page:

You can then share the link back to this post so others can promote this idea. This will be the fastest route to get this implemented.
Bump. We need email notifications, group owners might not notice membership requests for weeks.
This post has intrigued me, as well as why there isn't an email notification option baked in. Looking at Group Applications—ArcGIS REST API: Users, groups, and content | ArcGIS for Developers , it looks like there is a json/python solution, but I'm not motivated enough to write it......
This doesn't notify you, but this thread contains a solution to automatically add users from AD groups to PTL groups. https://community.esri.com/thread/208978-arcgis-portal-active-directory-groups-questions
I haven't tried this, or investigated, but is that join request lingering in a json somewhere? Then you could scrape the json with python, and fire your email event from there...
I know it's not currently available, just wondering if anyone has figured out a way to make it happen via other "methods" I guess.
Hi Jayson,
Portal for ArcGIS does NOT have the ability to send email notifications. This functionality is not available in the software.
Hope this helps,
That would be nice.
