I recently created my first operations dashboard for use with Survey123 and was a bit disappointed to find i couldn't create reports or export any data. It would be super helpful for if you could create custom reports and export your filter selections in dashboard to a csv file.
you can export all data from survey123 to excel or .csv in the data tab of the survye123 page.
More on this: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/11/10/downloading-data-captured-with-survey123-for-arcgis
I believe, it will be really added value for the OpsDashboard to add the export tool to the list widget or as a separate widget. It will help a lot when the decision maker wants to filter the data based on many category fields, it will be very easy for him to generate a report or just a CSV file includes the object IDs and some other data.
Please work on it.
Thanks,

I would also like to see the ability to export to csv directly from the Operations Dashboard. While it is possible to get Survey123 data from the survey123.arcgis.com website the Operations Dashboard is a better experience for non-technical users. With time-range or category filters in place it would offer a straight forward user experience to get the data.

Hello Josh,
Thank you for submitting this idea! Even though you are working with a few different products, it looks like you want the ability to report and export to CSV in Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS specifically. Because of this, I've gone ahead and removed the other categories. If this is not the case, please feel free to let me know!
Others,
When voting for this idea, please consider adding a comment to share your own perspective on how this functionality in Operations Dashboard would improve your workflows or allow you to expand your projects. The more viewpoints we collect on an idea, the better understanding we will have of what needs to be done.

Doesnt have to be in dashboard, as long as the functionality is available via survey123 report builder, dasboard or via a widget on a webmap.
Thankyou
This would be very helpful. The people in our organisation viewing the dashboards are usually non-technical decision-makers. It would be great if they could export a CSV of a dashboard that they have filtered to see specific information.
This idea would be very helpful. I'm working on creating a dashboard that would show live data coming from Search and Rescue personnel on the ground and having this functionality within Operations Dashboard itself would make it lot easier for non-technical users as they could generate their own reports and not have to put in a request every time they need that information. Thank you!
This would be great. I am trying to create a dashboard as an alternative to a competitors product we got through a grant. The biggest missing piece is that once I filter down all my data I can't export it to a CSV. Please add this.
This would be a huge help to me. I alternate between Web App Builder and Operations Dashboard (which I hope someday become one product with the best from each) and am a big fan of both. The primary reason I use Operations Dashboard is because of the "Actions". But without the ability to Export or even Print, I usually am not able to take the app to a production state.
Any update on if this is going to be added anytime soon?
Thanks so much and keep up the awesome work!
this would be greatly advantageous for users to generate reports via ops. dashboard with filters applied.... one stop shop
Hoping that this functionality will be added in Operations Dashboard. It would be great if the end users can export to csv.
I love the export to csv function in web app builder. It helps my clients self-serve (find the answers they need on current activity in the field), but they are not gis technical and the learning curve is steep. Therefore, app loses the interest and I end up doing the work. Because the operations dashboard is easy to use, beautiful, and highly customizable with quick reporting, the interest in using it is much higher than the web app builder. However, the operations dashboard is completely useless without the export to csv function. And the web app builder is useless without the ease-of-use like the operations dashboard. Please add an export function to the available widgets.
I agree. It would be great directly in the dashboard.
We'd like to see this functionality in Dashboard. We need a way to export data to csv responsive to users actions (i.e. select a slice in a pie chart... export results to csv)
This would provide more value added service to a great product.
Esri,
Is there any progress going on with the export ability? I can't believe there isn't still any solution available.
I heard that export functionality is on the long term Operations Dashboard enhancement requirements list. When can AGO users expect this functionality to go live? It would be very helpful if users viewing Operations Dashboard had the ability to export an entire dataset to a .gdb, .csv, or .kml. It would be useful if the export data function would change in response to users' actions (ex. if a filter is applied to a map or chart). There should also be a print/save as PDF option available for all charts and the active map frame. The quick reporting of Operations Dashboard and user's ability to interact with the map's "actions" makes Operations Dashboard more appealing and interactive than the Web App Builder. Data sharing, however, is severely hindered without export functionality and a print button. I hope to see this functionality added soon as I know of multiple organizations that would benefit and prefer to use Operations Dashboard for interactive mapping and reporting over the Web App Builder with other charting options (ex. Highcharts) for the export functionality.
I would be happy just to export the current FILTERed data to CSV. Similar to what you can do in Web Appbuilder where you can view a data grid and "Export All to CSV". I would be looking for a single button "Export To CSV using Currently Applied Filters" (e.g. if someone clicked on some Bars in a bar chart, or records in a List, etc.s).
It would be great to be able to export data through a dashboard. I work with biologists that are not necessarily tech savvy and giving them the ability to query their data and export it in the same work space is crucial. They use a dashboard to view the results of several surveys and I'd like for them to be able to export a CSV of their portion of the dataset within that dashboard. It is an easier solution than going to the Survey123 website for those with limited experience in ArcGIS Online.
Exporting to csv from Ops Dashboard would be very handy for our Mineral Negotiators to select or filter a specific date range or area of mineral rights and then export that to csv for further analysis on the fly
It's very good to know others are expressing a need for this. It has been a major setback for us in a project with our Police Department. For those suggesting other ways to export Survey123 data, I must say that's not enough. It's the filters that make the Operations Dashboard so powerful, but there's no way to preserve working data set. A use has to re-apply the filters every time they want to look at a data set.
Please.. I beseech you. Add this!!
I'm working on developing a dashboard for our gardeners who aren't tech-savvy and are rarely in the office so they need something easy and browser based instead of ArcMap or Pro. They will use Collector and Survey123 to create the data, then Operations Dashboard to get the big picture and see areas of concern. It would be great if they could filter features down to the gardens that need work in a certain park or the list of plants in a specific garden and export it to CSV so they have their work plan for the day.
I also agree. Being able to at least export a list to a CSV from Operations Dashboard would benefit my organization.
Yes, our dashboards would really benefit from a simple CSV export option. Better yet would be a nicely formatted PDF report. dashboards report printing #export to csv
Definitely want this in our organization as well. Please work your magic ESRI.
Any status updates on this ESRI? Thanks!
I would like the ability to export a CSV file from a filtered set of queries in the dashboard. For example, if I were to filter a dataset by "Region" using one chart and "Type" using another graph, I would like to see the results in a table and be able to export the simple table for further analysis or reporting.
Exporting from a Dashboard would be incredibly useful for our local government. Providing a dashboard showing new building permits is a project I'm working on. I know there will be many requests for a list of the permits and it would be useful for anyone to be able to filter the data to meet their needs and then download it straight from the dashboard.
Would really like to have the ability to export a selection of data out of Operations Dashboard (that I am pulling in from Workforce) into a csv file. This will make it much easier for those who have zero GIS experience, and have very limited computer experience to download daily reports on their work for their records. I know, the purpose of an electronic work order is to reduce paper, but we still have some diehards who want paper so this functionality would be fantastic!
I really enjoy operation dashboard and providing this to others in our organization. If this can be implemented, it would provide a function that I think users would intuitively want. This would be really useful for operations dashboard users after they have filtered and/or query to immediately export to csv or excel. The experience of having to jump to another application and redo the filter and/or selection all over again is not optimal. So they would be less likely to do this.
Operations Dashboard is becoming the preferred tool at our Water District for monitoring inputs from daily GIS enabled workflows utilizing Collector and Survey123. The results displayed in the Dashboard often need to be communicated to others. For example, if our Engineering Analyst sees there are some large meters that haven't yet been tested she sends a list of those meters to the company contracted to do the work. The ability to export records right from the filtered list out to CSV or Excel would allow her to complete the workflow without changing to some other app or asking me to make the list. It appears from the comments in this blog that the idea has been around for quite some time and is a popular request. Hopefully it can be accomplished soon.
This functionality is the one key missing feature we need here. Our field managers use the dashboards frequently to get information on the current state of affairs, and to report metrics. The ability to generate a tabular report would speed this up, and exporting to CSV would help them transfer that data to their working documents. The tabular report part seems like you could simply display the bar graph as a table instead of a chart.
Scott - here are a few ideas/concepts that I really wish would be implemented immediately:
As many others have stated, this functionality is critical to the success of many organizations. I love the concept of using dashboards, but in many instances I have turned away from using them due to not being able to export the real time results by the end users/decision makers.
I wholeheartedly support ESRI, but not being able to export results from a dashboard is extremely frustrating and unacceptable...
Please update us with the status of this implementation and if it is even being considered (as it SHOULD be).

Do you have any updates for this request? or a tracking number/timeline for a possible implementation (if applicable)?
Hi Nathaniel,
> Do you have any updates for this request?
Sorry, I don't have an update on this item. We do have this enhancement request in our Dev backlog. FYI: the team is working on updating Dashboard onto the JavaScript 4.x API and enabling augmented support for Arcade expressions.
Hope this helps,
Hi Ismael Chivite and Survey123 for ArcGIS ,
This is a great functionality but we've found privilage issues with the export of CSV data from S123.
Survey123- Allow 'Viewer' User Type to Export Data
"When S123 results are shared as view only (viewers can only see the results of the survey) and a user type is a 'Viewer' they do not have the ability to export data in the provided data tab. This is a nonsensical error since users are simply exporting a CSV by direct download and data/items are not being created. Please revise the privileges for exporting data on "View Only" survey results. "
Any chance there's a plan to update this? Our users are running into this issue and our "Creator" user type licenses are limited.
Amanda
Doesn't help OpDashboards though
