Is it possible to create a geopoint automatically from the centroid of a geoshape?

I have a survey that uses the geoshape type to create a polygon around the project area. What i would like to do is populate a geopoint based on the centroid of said project polygon.

Hi Justin,

At this time, there isn't a built-in function to get the centroid of a polygon.  Could I ask that add an idea to https://ideas.arcgis.com for this?
