Why is my image field giving the "This field is required" error message (which is preventing me from submitting the survey), even though I have attached a photo?
The issue is occurring for the field on row 79 of the attached spreadsheet.
Any help is appreciated.

What version of survey123 field app did you use? Tested with 3.8 beta seems to be no issue with that image field.
Could you provide more details of your mobile type and the version of the field app you are having issue with?
We are actually experiencing this issue on the web survey accessed via survey123.arcgis.com on a computer.
When I tried to open the web form, I received the initializing form error with the xls form you provided. Just want to check with you if you have received this on the web form? Any nested repeat in the survey? Any Javascript pulldata function being used for your survey?
My initializing form error might be that the associated .csv file is missing. We actually have one issue with the image field on web form. When you capture the image from webcam, it does not fullfill the required validation. So just want to check with you if you used the webcam to capture the image and upload it on the web form? If yes, it's still an valid issue we are working on.

Becky N Thank you for the information. The root cause is the required validation of image question in web form can't work correctly when it's inside repeat AND there are pulldata calculations in the form. Could you please contact Esri Support to log a bug for this? Our Support team will assign an official bug number for your records. This number can be used to search for and subscribe to the bug on the Esri Support site. If the issue is reported by other customers it will be attached to the same bug report, which helps us assess the impact of the issue and prioritize it accordingly.
For a temporary work-around, you could add a new image repeat and upload image and note in the second repeat and then delete the first repeat section.
