It would be great if it were possible to replicate the Excel sort feature of the table widget in Dashboards. I.e. You are able to click on a table heading and then sort ascending and sort decending.

This is a must-have feature. Literally anyone that has ever viewed a table of data expects to be able to sort by a column. This can't be implemented soon enough.
USER SORT IN DASHBOARD TABLES IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED!!! It is to the point where with many clients, its requested that there are 2 views in for app - clients want to sort on all columns:
1.) for the dashboard table visuals with advanced formatting (which EXB lacks)
2.) for the sort and many (more) filter options that come with EXB table widget.
Either allow advanced formatting in the EXB table or allow sort in Dashboard table

it is expected that dashboard/EXB is a replacement for excel, but you're lacking the most basic and important capabilities of excel! @patrickb

Please add this feature. I needed this a year ago. Table sorting is a must, I am currently using PowerBI for this and would like to use an esri dashboard instead. Any updates on a timeline or if this is even on a roadmap?
Just arrived here via a google search on how to enable sorting on a Dashboard table widget because I assumed the option must be there somewhere...blown away that it is not yet. Chiming in to say that this seems like an essential table function and I hope it's implemented soon!
Just came to look for this in Enterprise. Super hard to filter through data without this.
This is an absolute necessity! I need the data expression functionality of dashboards for my app to create some fields on the fly, but table sorting is an absolute requirement as well, so I am really stuck. Please add this functionality!

@patrickb I saw on another thread that table sorting was moved to Under Consideration in October 2023. Do you have any updates for us on this much-needed functionality? It's the first thing I check for with every ArcGIS Online update.

I agree. Dashboards are quicker to deploy and easier to maintain than Experience Builder apps. But not having a sortable table is a non-starter. It's been great to prototype an app, but falls short for a deployable solution.
I 100% agree with @cbp-geus, this really should be a mandatory function. It's difficult to convince my users to use a Dashboard when they can't even sort the data.
I've actually begun moving over to experience builder to build dashboards where I see a need to dig into the tabular data more. The table widget there is more advanced.
This is a mandatory feature that should be there for all data-driven tables. It's great that we can show fancy graphs and advanced filter options, but it's really frustrating and illogical that we still can't sort hundreds of values in the table widget. Our users rather prefer to use a basic spread sheet instead of this nice dashboard.
Agree! This has been suggested in at least a couple other posts as well. I really hope this functionality is in the works! Users just expect to be able to click on a header to sort, and they're frustrated when they can't.
