Can you create custom number formatting in Survey123?

Question

I have a barcode field in my survey form.  When the barcode is scanned, the resulting number is always in the format xyz-xyz.  On some devices used within my agency, the camera is not sensitive enough to scan the barcode, so the number must be entered by hand.  Is there a way to set the formatting for this field so that the dash is always there, and the user can simply enter the 6 digits?

2 things to note:

1) You can set a text format as you describe by using an Input Mask - see Esri custom columns—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS .  What you've described might fit 00-0000

2) The upcoming version of Survey123 (2.4) will have some improvements in barcode scanning.
