“This layer’s network data source does not support directions.” Error in ArcPro

Question

I received the following error in ArcPro (2.2.3) while trying to generate Directions for my Network Dataset: “This layer’s network data source does not support directions.” I can’t find any documentation about this - any ideas how I can manipulate my dataset to fix this?

The directions capabilities are set in the network dataset. Does you street data feature class have a street name field? If yes, then you can update the network dataset properties using ArcMap. The ability to configure the network dataset for directions is not available in ArcGIS Pro yet, but coming shortly.
