In practice, the web form and field app can behave differently, particularly with complex calculations, repeats, dynamic content, and certain appearance settings. As a result, authors often have to repeatedly publish and test their surveys in a browser to identify and fix web-specific issues.
Adding a Web Form Preview Mode alongside the existing field app preview would allow authors to fully test both experiences before publishing. By accurately simulating web form behavior within Survey123 Connect, this feature would reduce development time, improve quality assurance, and help users catch platform-specific issues early, making survey design more efficient and reliable for everyone.
