Field Collectors using ios devices are not able to upload images into their surveys.

Question

My field collectors using ios devices are not able to upload images they took outside of the app into their surveys. They can take photos in the app, and those are loading just fine. I saw an older post about the way photos are stored in ios devices, and that they are not compatible and need to be changed to JPEG files. Is this still relevant? Or is there a new issue I need to consider? I am using the latest version of Survey 123 Connect.

Hi @CliftonSimmons2,

Can you confirm what iOS device/model and iOS version is being used? Can you confirm the default image format in use on the Camera settings of the iOS devices.

Also what version of Survey123 field app?

You are correct, Survey123 and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise does not support uploading HEIC images, therefore only supported formats should be selected.
