http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=cb1bd2804d0f42d2b903952c2d781170 I personally have trialed this yet but definitely interesting. Thanks to G+ Community "Project Geo" for the awareness! Side note, if you know how to share a quick link and less than this whole blog entry, let me know. Thanks!
My ArcMap.cache.data file is over 18 GB and I can't figure out what's causing it or how to empty it. The closest thing I could find is clearing the display cache, which I've done and it made no difference. I also found a single GeoNet thread that was a similar issue (mine doesn't involve Citrix), but it was never answered. It's not causing any…(Show moreShow less)
I've learned nothing about what's causing it, unfortunately. You can delete the whole BGLCacheV2 folder and Arc will simply recreate it, so that's a quick and temporary fix. It will get huge again. I'm not sure what to do other than think of it like the Windows pagefile: it's just a huge automated thing that you learn to live with. I'm running…
I have searched high and low and I cannot find a Great Lakes polygon shapefile anywhere. All I have found available online are the polyline boundaries of the lakes and they are too complex to be converted to a polygon. I can't seem to download them from the USGS Seamless Viewer. I tried to extract them from the template maps provided in ArcMap but…(Show moreShow less)
I am trying to create an address locator for the state of Illinois using the TIGER ADDRFEAT county road files. I created an address locator just fine using only the NE quadrant county shapefiles using the dual ranges address type after I merged them into 1 streets shapefile to use, but when I merged all counties in the state into 1 shapefile and…(Show moreShow less)
About how many features are in the shapefile that contain all of the streets for all of the counties in the state? What version of ArcMap are you using? Do you have 64-bit Background Geoprocessing installed? Background Geoprocessing (64-bit)—Help | ArcGIS Desktop , Foreground and background processing—Help | ArcGIS Desktop The reason I ask…
I can see this map service in a map viewer in ArcGIS Online but not in ArcMap nor ArcGIS Pro. https://demographics1.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/BRA_Demographics_and_Boundaries/MapServer In ArcGIS Pro I added it via the "Add Data" button and then searched it in the Living Atlas. It seems desktop GIS does not recognize the colour coding…(Show moreShow less)
In ArcMap 10.3 the option to assign unique layer ID's was enabled. When enabled this allows map authors to set the numeric ID's accordingly. Can this data frame property be read in Arcpy to determine if an MXD is using this setting? Can arcpy access the layer ID thru the layer object? Thanks for any info Ronnie
Hi, Has anyone found solution for this? I am working on automated map service publishing scripts and i would like to run checks on MXD to enforce the option being switched on by users before publishing.
Hi all, I have animated a single layer in 10.3 to show annual city annexations and I would like to display the year of annexation on the animation as it plays through time. Has anyone done that? I've been searching around for a bit and haven't come up with anything. Thank you!
ArcMap 10.1 o 10.3 Creación de colores en el Style Manager. ¿Me gustaría saber? 1.
I need to change a Data Frame's Unit Display which is currently Degrees Decimal Minutes..
