I sent the following to one of our contractors today. The information on configuring SSL certificates, administrative tips for multi-machine deployments following a 'site' model, and things to check more...
Hello! I have a StreamServer that is processed using GeoEvent from an AVL feed. I am able to add the stream service to a webmap in Portal or Online and see the streaming location. When I try to view the webmap on a mobile device however it will not load. I also tried to view the webmap via Explorer and get an error (Error Code 7005: Layer…(Show moreShow less)
I'd like to get some input from the community and from Esri's RJ Sunderman on my proposed architecture for one of my clients. This client is looking to implement a highly available GIS architecture that includes GeoEvent Server. Below is a simplified architecture diagram showing the anticipated flow of traffic between users, servers, clusters,…(Show moreShow less)
Hi RJ, Brad, The initial post of William was about ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.7.1. But what about the new version 10.8.1. The new documentation talks about deployment strategies only in 'Silo' architecture term but no reference to multi-machine site. Does that mean the multi-site approach is not anymore recommanded for this version? Thanks for…
Hello! I think I'm missing something simple and hoping the group will be able to set me straight. And possibly offer a different way to accomplish this -- We want to calculate a standard due date based on the submit/creation date of problems added to our hosted feature layer. By default, all new problems should be due 5 days after they were…(Show moreShow less)
Ok - I see what you are saying. But, I can't change the field type because I was using an existing field -- i think that boolean is irrelevant (and confusing). So then - i tried to a new field and then using the field mapper -- but that didn't work either. Then, i remembered this: the due date field is new since this geoevent service was…

Hey Adam, I'm working on updating this connector at the moment. I've had reports from others that the connector would stop working after an extended period of time. That issue and upgrading to include new fields from new FlightAware API versions are the driving force of the latest update. The next release will support FlightAware Firehose v21.0…
When setting up the Input - Receive flightaware connector, I am wondering if it was intended to allow multiple data types to be requested, each with a Yes/No radio button set? I would love to set up ONE connector to get both Flight Position Data AND Ground Position Data, but don't think the FlightAware server likes this. When I have both marked…(Show moreShow less)
We just upgraded geoevent to 10.8 from 10.6.1 and have encountered this error when we the receive json on a rest end point input us used: com.esri.ges.adapter.genericJson.JsonInboundAdapter Error converting JSON node to GeoEvent. This ended up being a bad install. Overall, it took us 5 different tries to upgrade from 10.61 to 10.8. On top of that, tech support believes our config file might have been corrupt as well. So, we are having to rebuild the the geoevent services, inputs, outputs, geofences, and definitions.

When speaking with customers who want to get started with ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, I'm often asked if GeoEvent Server has an input connector for a specific data vendor or type of device. My answer is almost always that we prefer to integrate via REST and the question you should be asking is: "Does the vendor or device offer a RESTful API whose…(Show moreShow less)
I have client who has the same 40000 records being output every time he restarts the Gateway service. No new inputs, just new counts in the processor and then to the output. Is there a way to flush this out?
