Moments ago, NASA's Perseverance rover successfully landed on Mars after a 300 million mile journey that took nearly seven months. This Mostly Mapping Map of the Week features a custom app built using the latest JavaScript API which supports non-earth geoids, making accurate measurements and location possible.

On August 4, 2020, a massive explosion gutted buildings and crumbled neighborhoods surrounding the port of Beirut, Lebanon, after a warehouse containing 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate ignited. Maxar published imagery post-blast, and a swipe app was created to view before and after.
