We migrated our GIS from AutoDESK Map-SQL to ESRI SDE several years ago. The easement data has received a lot of attention over the years. In the current work flow, new easement data (lines, annotation and points) is supplied or created in CAD and copy/pasted into the SDE feature class. There is discussion regarding converting the line work to a polygon feature class instead of a line. The annotation is necessary for printing paper maps and the point feature class holds the the Auditor File Number with the county (linking back to the source document). There are 19,812 line entities for easements in our GIS... Thanks for ANY feedback.
