I've created a column chart in which the data starts at October 2023. All was well with column placement until January 2024 came along... Once January came, January became the first column in my chart. I'd like to have January be after December in this chart. (See below)

How would I go about doing that?

This is an expected behavior when you are aggregating into a month category w/o using a year. There are 2 ways you can represent this information:

  1. Use a summary table or the alluvial diagram (introduced in 2023.3/ ArcGIS Online, which may or may not answer your question) would be the best representation. You want to summarize this data by date-Year --> date-Month --> Category --> count of surveys. AkshayHarshe_0-1706543735140.png

  2. Split this information into 2 charts and a cross filter or a single chart and a filter widget. E.g. Create a filter widget for one of the categories (say Year) and then use it in tandem with this chart.AkshayHarshe_2-1706544177997.png

    Cross filter

    Filter Widget (aka Predefined filter)

I hope this helps.
