Group Filter widget - AND not working between 2 group filters

I am using the Group Filter in an EB along with other separate filters that is going ok with the group filter updating the options in other separate filters based on filtering results.
Today I added another group filter sql statement within the group filter widget and it has the 'AND' enabled which I was hoping would filter the other group filter sql by the other sql statement in the same widget.
For instance I have survey year and if I select 2024 I want only survey dates in 2024 to show in the survey date group filter. This worked when survey date was in a regular filter outside of the group, but I moved to a group filter to make use of the group filter capability. What am I missing on the 'AND' or 'OR'? I understand the option to 'filter based on previous expressions' is not included in the group filter.
I also would love one 'RESET' option for all filters included in the EB app similar to dashboards. It is cumbersome to have 4 resets if 4 separate filters are included.

I wanted to also add to this post for the Group filter and the values that are shown. In dashboards selectors there is a maximum number of values that can be configured I believe with the default of 50.
In one of the group filters, the data used to source the filter has dates that are not showing in default view. For instance in the screenshot below all survey dates should be showing, but they are not and limited in what is shown. Then when I select 2024 for the group filter additional survey dates from October and November populate the list whereas they were not shown in the default view. Why is this?
