We were recently taking looking at re-evaluating Site Scan over our current image workflows and was wondering if Site Scan support adding images to a Mosaic Dataset.

Our current workflow includes post processing of images and then uploading them to a mosaic dataset which is then published as an image service.  This allows our users to have the latest image always show up as a base map or if they bring in the service they can use the time enabled feature to see changes over time.

Just wondering if anyone has any similar workflows / how do you all use site scan with mosaic datasets?

We have Enterprise with Image Server.

@phess_luckstone this is the workflow that is recommended with Site Scan. Here in Australia we have automated this process for a number of customers with Site Scan API and MDCS.

The process can be scheduled to scan Site Scan Folders, get the latest mission, download to Cloud storage, insert into a Mosaic Dataset, which is Mosaiced by Attribute (Date) then refresh the service. We have done this for both Orthomosaic and Terrain services.
