That is wonderful.  Some things that I have done with schools over the years that really gets them excited about Earth discovery through GIS is:    Show the Living Atlas Apps - Wayback imagery, Water Balance, Landsat Explorer, historical USGS topos, and more.   Show the Esri NatGeo MapMaker and investigate ocean temps, population change, and other themes there.  Go to the Living Atlas real time feeds and examine earthquakes, weather, stream gauges, wildfire perimeters, and more.  None of these require any sign in.    Joseph Kerski

This is AWESOME, @Esdspain57! Very well said. I highly encourage you to post pictures and/or videos of the event in this GIS Day 2024 Forum. I would love to see how it turns out!

Thanks for including a handful of resources, @JosephKerski. These are great and always appreciated 😃

Thanks! More to follow, and a big thank you to @JosephKerski for his
suggestions. I've already passed them on, AND I would very much love to be
at my grandkids school to emcee and assist staff. Of course, I'd have to
find a snazzy bow-tie to go with my sweater vest, decorated with Esri swag!

Oh many thanks @Esdspain57 !   I do have some map ties but they are all from science and education conferences I attend - the vendor there in the exhibit hall - but I am sure you can find some online vendors!  Map on!--Joseph

Hey you all, hope all is well 🙂 really excited and looking forward to the GIS day 2024. On this GIS day I will most likely be busy mentoring and helping students and clients on GIS in various ways

I love what I do as a GIS person, and I am glad so many others here feel the same way 😊

Cheers!

The San Diego Natural History Museum will be having our 2nd internal GIS Day this year! Looking forward to showing our colleagues all things GIS. We will be demoing Survey123, Field Maps and our AGOL page and how to navigate it. I plan on creating a fun scavenger-like demo where my colleagues can practice using Field Maps and Survey123 on their devices. Making learning GIS fun for all!! Happy GIS Day 2024!! (If there are links get any swag for prizes, please let me know)!

That is great. I was near your site for the Esri UC Thursday night party and spent a long time in the model RR museum - oh, those folks are spatial thinkers for sure!!    There is no Esri swag, sorry - but one free source sometimes is your city's tourism maps and the state highway maps from the DOT - sometimes they give a package of those away if you ask.  Congrats on your GIS Day event!  --Joseph Kerski

Thanks for sharing, @GISJess!

This sounds like such a fun event. I love how you're incorporating various products into your presentations... it's such a great way to introduce others to the power of GIS 😀 A scavenger hunt is a great idea! We'd love to hear how your event goes and please feel free to post any of the resources, activities or presentations you plan on presenting as I'm sure others can benefit from this as well.

There is digital swag on the GIS Day site. I also encourage you to check out the GIS Day '23 Forum where a handful of members list different ways they give out swag. This write-up may also help as well:  How to Plan a Successful GIS Day Event - Esri Community  .
