Hi,

I'm trying to generate a feature report for a record in the survey and it returend an error where "Error occurred when uploading result files to Portal for ArcGIS. Error in adding url file item"

- The version of ArcGIS Enterprise is 10.6.1

- No Attachment added in the Report.

- It is working fine in AGOL.

Hi,

i found a solution to this specific error that I have too on our setup. The server hosting Portal for ArcGIS needs to access the external url https://featurereport-prod.s3.amazonaws.com, which is where the report is generated.

In our setup Portal for ArcGIS is installed behind a firewall that inhibit Internet access from internal server, so we need to add a rule to firewall to allow that outgoing request and avoid the connection time out.

I hope it helps.

Regards

Andrea

Thanks Andera..

Our Portal configured to be access from public IP so this action you mentioned not the cause of the issue.

really thanks..

UPDATE:
As Andrea V said that our server was not able to access

https://featurereport-prod.s3.amazonaws.com

,Then I ask IT to let the server access this specific site. So, now I am generating the report successfully

Thanks!

Hi Hussam Rabea‌,

As we had an update for the website on 7/2 and also planned some fixes for the production website soon, would you mind trying to see if you can still reproduce the issue on the latest Beta website https://survey123beta.arcgis.com?portalUrl=<your portal> ?

Hi Zhifang Wang‌,

Yes I tried whit Beta website and faced the same.

FYI,

we recently upgrade from 10.6.1 to 10.8

The Beta version solved my problem. The Generate Report stopped working for my data after the last update. Is it something that will get fixed? Thanks

Hi, Hussam Rabea,

to be honest the fact you can access from public IP does not means that server itself can reaches an Internet resource. Can you open a browser on server and navigate to "https://featurereport-prod.s3.amazonaws.com"?

Hi Andrea,

I misunderstand you in previous reply. In fact, the sever couldn't access the internet. I will ask our IT guys to allow the server access the internet.

Thanks for your support.

I asked IT and they reply

If application having dependency please specify the required website for the application to work.

So, if give them "https://featurereport-prod.s3.amazonaws.com" ,will it fit their request?
