I have a survey that asks for a project manager. If Add Project Manager is selected, a new text field allows users to add a name. If a user were to add a project manager from the text entry field, can that record be added to the PM existing field/list? In this case, add all other_pm submissions to the PM field.

I have the project manager list in a dashboard and would like users to be able to select a project manager that was added via text entry.

A similar question was asked recently: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-questions/add-a-new-entry-from-a-survey-question-to-d...

Here is my original post (from the thread linked above):

This is likely what you are looking for: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/dynamic-choice-lists-using-search-appearance/bc-...

Two things to think about:

  1. Will your surveys be taken in an offline environment?
  2. Do you REALLY want people taking the surveys to be able to add anything to the list? Even with the best intentions from a professional group, this can go south quite quickly.
