Seamlines in mosaic dataset

Hi all,

One question here: I generated seamlines for a mosaic dataset with overlapping imagery and I get seamlines polygons that overlap, exactly like the footprints. Is this normal? I thought seamlines will be built only for those chunks of images that are on top. I attach a screenshot. I used 3 methods: radiometry, geometry and edge detection, all using Zorder attribute from the mosaic dataset attribute table.
