Calculation command in Attribute table fails for some fields but not others
For a research project, I am trying to Calculate a new field in the Attribute Table. Specifically, I want to find the percent of a given census tract who identified as "Hispanic/Latino Origin" in the 2020 census. However, ArcGIS Pro says that my syntax is incorrect for some reason. For reference, all fields used are of the double data type, and all the data was Joined to the Attribute Table of the census tract shapefile. I also renamed the source tables in the contents pane (not sure if that's relevant). Furthermore, I only get this issue with some data fields and not others. Data from the original census tract shapefile's Attribute Table doesn't give me syntax errors. But I can't think of a reason why the syntax doesn't work for the new data.
