ArcMap used what I'll call, "Hard" scrolling, which means as soon as you stop scrolling on the mouse wheel, the attribute table stops moving.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but right now in ArcGIS Pro, there is a significant delay between stopping of physical scrolling and stopping in the attribute table. This makes it really difficult to stop and view specific data, and really easy to blow past it. Not sure why this was changed?
I agree, this is one of the main reasons I have yet to move fully over to Pro. Scrolling through tables is so much smoother in ArcMap. There is a "lag" in ArcGIS Pro with the scroll that makes it difficult to use. Any comment from ESRI? Is this a known "feature"?
Pro certainly feels slower and less reliable to react than ArcMap at least in this regard, and with certain editing operations.
+1 for this. The scroll should stop when you stop. It's so hard to follow. Plus it makes me nauseous lol
Looks like this has been implemented in ArcGIS Pro v3.4!
Much easier to use 🙂
Just upgraded to Pro 3.4, scrolling seems to be no different than previous versions to me at least
I wish I could give this more kudos. When I stop scrolling in the attribute table I want it to stop. I don't want it to stop 30 seconds later and lose what I wanted to stop on. When scrolling a table with 9k entries so I can select certain features (where select by attribute is impossible or slower than just selecting from the table) it is very tedious with how far one click of the scroll wheel will send the table. There should be a feature that you can turn off to implement the "hard" scroll.
