Scale Legend Contents Automatically with change in size

In ArcMap if I make a legend bigger or smaller the contents will scale proportionally. This makes it very simple to ensure the legend is legible and in proportion to the rest of the map. In ArcGIS Pro, when I make the legend larger the contents maintain the size they were when the legend was created. They do not automatically scale. I have not found a setting which enables this functionality. You instead must make adjustments to all the various elements within the legend to get them to change size. While this provides much greater control over those elements, it is much more difficult and time consuming. Maybe having a check box to provide the automatic scaling as an option or just make it work like it did in ArcMap. #ArcGIS Pro #Layouts legend management

Ditto! Government users can no longer access Arcmap for the last year now, so we are desperate to have this feature back. Simple scaling of an element - how hard could it be?

Come on ESRI???? Do you have anyone actually making maps over there. This is just ridiculous.

I think the word here is "Pathetic".  I've been using ESRI since 1997, the old ArcInfo and ArcView days.  This is by far and away the most pathetic thing I have run across.  Just in this thread alone, people have been requesting this to be fixed for ------ OVER SEVEN YEARS!!!! ------  and they are saying it's just an enhancement that has low to medium priority?  I've wasted HOURS of my life trying to find a way to get this to work that isn't a tedious work-around.  This is EXACTLY why it took me until this year to switch to Pro. 

What do we have to do to get this fixed?  Obviously begging doesn't work.

It's been 2+ years since I posted my comments on this Idea, so time to chime in again. 

It appears that #ENH-000129479 has actually been downgraded from In Product Plan to Under Consideration, possibly on 1/26/2023.

So, we're moving backwards on this, if anything? But very, very slowly.

Community Ideas and Technical Support seem to be dead ends. But since kudos and comments were supposed to be the voice of the user base, here's one more.

Yet another request for this feature. Absolutely laughable that this is not built in.

At a certain point it's easier to just manually make a legend than to bother with the built in tools.
