Instant app Sidebar issue identify after last update

Hi all,

when you make a query on the map, after the first query the information in the sidebar no longer appears. Not only this, but the selected element remains selected even when you click on other elements on the map.

Does this happen to anyone else too?

Any updates on this? Quite annoying problem for us.

Sorry about the link to the bug. I will recreate it here:

The link in the original post is working for me. I'm not sure if that is a helpful clue or not. I checked the link in another browser in incognito mode and it worked there as well after a login screen. I'm not sure what else I can try as far as the the link goes.

Thanks for reposting, Zak.  🙂  The link responds with no permissions --> I guess you can see it as the reporter but not the rest of us.

It would be great if Esri got this bug fixed...

I have never had the pleasure of reporting a bug before so I don't know how it all works. I would think that bugs could be tracked by anyone...

I found a post here that explains what is going on. You need to scroll through most of the first page to get to the information about how ESRI vets bugs:

why-aren-t-more-bug-reports-shared-publicly? 

Basically they keep the visibility confined to the reporting user until they have a chance to thoroughly test and validate the bug. Then they make it searchable by all ESRI users.

Glad to hear the workaround from the other thread helped.  🙂  (Hopefully Esri will fix the issue soon, though, so we won't need a workaround...  😎)

Yes I completely agree, a workaround is not ideal. Good news is that the bug says "in product plan" , so fingers crossed it's sooner than later.
