I would like to see a check box added to the Settings menu for Web Maps in ArcGIS Online to allow owners of those maps to limit the access to Web Editor.  Similar to the check boxes to allow the web map to be used in Collector or Field Maps.

Web Editor allows anyone with a Creator or above user account to use bulk editing on every attribute on an editable layer in any web map they have access too.  Currently the only way to limit their access to fields is to setup forms.  This is not practical for web maps that are not meant for this functionality and are bases for field apps or web applications.

This functionality opens up web maps designed for other tasks to be opened by users who have access to them and multi-edit features on any layer they have editable rights to in any web map they have access to.  This is a major security issue especially for those who are non-traditional GIS users that we have typically only allowed multi-editing in very specific cases and limited by layer and attribute in batch attribute edit widgets in apps they have rights to.  If those users find Web Editor, they can bypass those controls and even multi-edit fields which they did not see before in their applications.

Add in similar to Field Maps and Collector availability setting:

@MikeDahm to clarify; this isn't correct:
"Web Editor allows anyone with a Contributor or above user account  ..."

Web Editor requires Creator and above.

@CraigGillgrass  That is what I thought I wrote until you commented.  Thanks.  The changing of the names so many times back to level 1 and 2 has been a lot. I have edited the idea.
