AGOL should have a recycle bin that is available to restore data that has been deleted from a feature layer. This would greatly improve the useability of AGOL. Users do occasionally delete data by mistake and all of the current restoration options using backups is extremely cumbersome.
The recycle bin could be cleared either on demand, or by setting a parameter for how long to keep recycled data.
If this recycle bin or rollback capability existed, if for example a user accidentally deletes a pipe segment, it could be quickly and easily restored.
Very similar to this idea. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/ago-recycle-bin/idi-p/968814
Similar, but considering it has been sitting around since 2013, I'll vote this one up!
It's similar in concept, but there are some options available to prevent feature layers and tables from accidentally being deleted. I want a more granular recycle/rollback option that addresses the removal and restore of data from a feature service or table.
A Recycle Bin will be coming to ArcGIS Online. It won't be as granular as you describe, but it will allow for the restoration of items that have been erroneously deleted.
