On April 13, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight (PDT), we plan to update ArcGIS Online. The update will include the new Map Viewer and ArcGIS Dashboards in general availability, improved collaboration across organizations, the ability to schedule ArcGIS Notebooks, and many new capabilities throughout the product. Please note that all planned updates are subject to change. Our What’s New email, blog article, and documentation will provide a comprehensive list of enhancements.
Map Viewer Beta will be released for general use. The original Map Viewer will be renamed Map Viewer Classic and remain the primary viewer for a limited time. Administrators can make the new Map Viewer the primary viewer through their organization settings. Individual users can also control it through their user settings.

The new ArcGIS Dashboards, built on the ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x, will be released for general use. Take advantage of ArcGIS Arcade in list and indicator elements, selection-based display, and data expressions. You can also leverage the capabilities of the new Map Viewer including dot density and multi-element pop-ups. Experience performance improvements as the dashboards load and maps draw. The previous version of Dashboards will become ArcGIS Dashboards Classic.
Automate routine tasks, run large or lengthy processes outside of work hours, or update datasets frequently with the upcoming capability to schedule ArcGIS Notebooks within ArcGIS Online at a set time or on a recurring basis. You will also be able to pass parameters into Notebooks on a schedule to account for different analytical scenarios or for security purposes.

ArcGIS Online users with an organizational subscription can do so by joining the ArcGIS Online Early Adopter Community (EAC). EAC members have access to an ArcGIS Online testing environment.
